REVIEW:
On 3rd Avenue in Brooklyn’s Bay Ridge, newcomers will find Nino’s Pizza, but neighborhood regulars already know it like the back of their hand. Nino’s is a trusted, old-school neighborhood slice joint that has been slinging quintessential New York street slices for decades—and hopefully will for many more!
With a quaint dining area in the back and a few weather-permitting seats out front on the sidewalk, it serves as a welcoming spot for families, friends, and anyone looking for a quick, satisfying bite. While their extra-large, classic triangular slices hit the spot, you shouldn't leave without trying their square offerings: both thick Sicilian and thin Grandma. My recommendation? Bring a couple of friends and order a whole Grandma pie and eat a slice of their thick Vodka Sicilian while you wait. My favorite is the Grandma slice. Despite its ultra-thin crust, the generous layers of chunky tomato sauce and melted mozzarella make it surprisingly filling. I know if I lived in the area, I'd be visiting Nino's early and often.
