REVIEW: 

Back in 2023, the founders of LTD Pizza and Bar took an area of Hudson Square best known for being an entrance to the Holland Tunnel and created magic! Somehow, this passion project from two chefs and a restaurateur combined a retro slice shop, a cool bar, and a dessert kitchen into a cauldron—and to the delight of nearby residents, out popped their new favorite pizzeria. Who knew bringing together good drinks, great pizza, homemade desserts, and an awesome playlist of classic rock, New Wave, 80s hits, and feel-good jams would result in all-around good vibes? Answer: Founders John Villa, Michael D'armi, and Dennis Arakelian did. With LTD already expanding into Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, the word is officially out.

Of course, I recommend ordering the pizza. My favorite was the fresh-from-the-oven cheese slice loaded with a generous portion of house tomato sauce and melted mozzarella on an electric deck oven-baked crust. The post-bake garnishes of olive oil and freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano took this quintessential New York street slice to the next level.

While you wait for your pie to cook, grab one of their many creatively topped slices as an appetizer. The Arrabiata could very well be the spiciest slice of pizza I have ever ingested, and you can't go wrong with the signature LTD Edition—stacked with stracciatella, pepperoni cups, and hot honey. I tried several and can't wait to return to LTD Pizza and Bar to finish off the rest of the menu!

1. In addition to being one of the star players on my softball team, the Pickles, Stephen Palo is also a sports trivia buff. Add him to your pub trivia team - I intend to.

2. Vanessa Weeden hails from Wisconsin and is an avid camper. She once camped in Acadia National Park for eight wet nights and lucked into sleeping in the dry tent the entire time.

3. Last night Robin Rothman took part in the Comeback Cabaret at Don't Tell Mama's piano bar as her alter ego Trudy Carmichael.  Not only did she have a great time but she plugged her upcoming cabaret Trudy Carmichael: Who Does She Think She Is? taking place at Don't Tell Mama's on December 6th and 30th (for more info & tickets).
